For years, I struggled with ongoing foot pain - it got to the point where everyday moments became difficult.
As a podiatrist, I understood the mechanics of foot pain better than most. I knew what caused it, I knew what to look for, and I'd spent years helping patients find solutions. But finding something that combined support, comfort and practicality for everyday life wasn't easy.
I tried countless footwear options, but most of the options simply weren't designed to be worn every day.
Then everything changed...
Through my work as a podiatrist, I was fortunate to be connected with people across the footwear industry. That journey eventually took me to China, where I met Leon, a manufacturer with decades of experience producing supportive footwear, orthotics and insoles.
It was there that I was introduced to Waco, an American company developing podiatrist-designed recovery footwear. The first time I put on the slides, I knew they were different. They delivered the cushioning, support and comfort my feet had been missing.
Fusion was then born from a belief that comfortable footwear shouldn't compromise on support.
Today, Fusion is in Australia.
We're still in our infancy, but our mission hasn't changed. We want to help people move more comfortably, recover better and enjoy the moments that matter without thinking about their feet.
